BP: Volume of Azerbaijani oil exported via BTC this year was 159 million barrels

During the third quarter of 2025, the transport of oil and gas produced from the “Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli” (ACG) and “Shah Deniz” fields to the Sangachal terminal via subsea pipelines continued, APA-Economics reports, citing BP.

It was noted that during the first three quarters of the current year, a total of 159 million barrels of oil and condensate were exported from the terminal. All of these volumes were transported through the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) main export pipeline.

It was emphasized that the terminal’s daily technical processing capacity currently stands at 1.2 million barrels of oil and condensate, and approximately 81 million standard cubic meters for “Shah Deniz” gas. The total gas processing and export capacity (including ACG associated gas) equals approximately 100 million standard cubic meters per day.

Gas exports were mainly carried out via the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP), its expansion system (SCPX), and the Azerbaijan gas pipeline connecting the terminal’s gas processing facilities to the “Azerigaz” distribution system.

During the first three quarters, an average of 74.5 million standard cubic meters per day (approximately 2.63 billion standard cubic feet) of “Shah Deniz” gas was exported from the terminal.
