Azerbaijan to have 11 non-working days for Nowruz and Ramadan next year -UPDATED

Next year, there will be 11 non-working days in connection with the Nowruz and Ramadan holidays, APA reports.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, in 2026, March 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 will be Nowruz holiday days.

Next year, March 21 and 22 fall on Saturday and Sunday. According to the requirements of the Labor Code, March 25 and 26 will also be non-working days.

Next year, March 20–21 will be Ramadan holiday days. According to the Labor Code, if the Ramadan holiday coincides with another non-working holiday, the next working day is considered a rest day. Thus, in accordance with the Labor Code, March 27 and 30 will also be non-working days.

As a result, in connection with the Nowruz and Ramadan holidays, March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30 will be non-working days.

Next year, March 21 and 22 fall on Saturday and Sunday. According to the requirements of the Labor Code, March 25 and 26 will be non-working days.

Thus, next year, March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26 will be non-working days.
