Money transfers from Russia to Azerbaijan declined — List of countries


In the first three quarters of this year, individuals transferred $849.91 million to Azerbaijan from abroad.

reports citing official data, the amount of remittances from abroad increased by only $1.4 thousand compared to last year.
It should be noted that, as in previous years, the largest amount of money came to Azerbaijan from Russia. In the first three quarters of this year, 40.5% of remittances from abroad ($343.9 million) came from Russia. Remittances from Russia decreased by 16.3%, or $66.8 million, compared to last year. Thus, in the first three quarters of 2024, $410.7 million were transferred from Russia to Azerbaijan.
In the first nine months of this year, the largest sums of money came to Azerbaijan from the following countries:
Russia – $343.9 million (40.5% of the total);
Turkey – $140.3 million (16.5%);
United States – $74.1 million (8.7%);
United Kingdom – $30.6 million (3.6%);
Georgia – $30.5 million (3.6%);
United Arab Emirates – $29.8 million (3.5%);
Saudi Arabia – $19.9 million (2.3%);
France – $19.0 million (2.2%);
Kazakhstan – $18.5 million (2.2%);
Germany – $17.3 million (2%);
Qatar – $12.2 million (1.4%);
Uzbekistan – $11 million (1.3%);
Israel – $9.1 million (1.1%);
Ireland – $9.1 million (1.1%);
Switzerland – $7.7 million (0.9%);
Austria – $7.5 million (0.9%);
Lithuania – $4.8 million (0.6%);
Kingdom of the Netherlands – $4.8 million (0.6%);
Canada – $4 million (0.5%);
Poland – $3.6 million (0.4%);
Kyrgyzstan – $3.5 million (0.4%);
