Zelensky: Presidential elections in Ukraine can be held simultaneously with referendum

Elections in Ukraine are one of the points of the peace plan and should be held “as soon as possible,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, APA reports, citing RBC-Ukraine.

He also did not rule out that martial law could remain in effect for several months after a peace agreement is signed. In that case, presidential elections would be held under security conditions, while parliamentary and local elections would take place after the lifting of martial law.

In addition, Zelensky did not rule out the possibility of holding elections at the same time as a referendum.
