The US and European meetings should pave the way for Ukraine's direct talks with Russia, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, APA reports.
Zelensky noted that a meeting at the level of advisers is planned in the coming days.
"Rustam Umerov has already contacted all advisers from the US and Europe. We want such a meeting. I think we will do everything we can to finally hold this meeting in Ukraine," he said.
According to Zelensky, after all the documents are prepared by the adviser, a meeting at the level of leaders between European states and Ukraine will be held in an expanded format.
"After this meeting, documents will be agreed at the level of all leaders, and preparations will be made for the meeting with the participation of US President Donald Trump and European leaders. We are working with serious intentions so that these meetings that I told you about take place in January. After that, I think that if everything goes step by step, a meeting with Russia will also take place in some form," he added.
