Embassy of Pakistan in Azerbaijan marks anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” with commemorative event

The Embassy of Pakistan in Azerbaijan has held an event marking the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” (“Battle for Truth”).

According to APA, speaking at the event, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Qasim Mohiuddin said that “Marka-e-Haq” is regarded as one of the defining moments in Pakistan’s national history.

The ambassador noted that the date is not merely an ordinary day on the calendar, but a symbol of courage, unity, and determination.

The diplomat stressed that the solidarity shown by the people of Azerbaijan with Pakistan during India’s attacks against the country was a source of pride for Pakistan.

Qasim Mohiuddin stated that Pakistan exercised its right to self defense in accordance with the UN Charter.

He added that although Pakistan supports peace, it will never compromise on its sovereignty, territorial integrity, or political independence.

In his speech, the ambassador also underlined the importance of resolving key issues for ensuring lasting peace in South Asia, particularly the Jammu and Kashmir issue, on the basis of UN Security Council resolutions and the will of the people.

The envoy further said that the government and people of Pakistan highly appreciate Azerbaijan’s moral and diplomatic support regarding Jammu and Kashmir under Indian control, as well as Baku’s stance toward India’s actions against Pakistan last year.
