Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy could resolve the conflict in Ukraine almost immediately by abandoning his claims to Crimea and the idea of the country joining NATO, US President Donald Trump wrote on his Truth account, APA reports.
"If Ukrainian President Zelenskyy wanted to, he could have ended the war with Russia almost immediately, or continued the war. Remember how it all started. The return of Crimea to [Barack] Obama did not happen (12 years ago, without a single shot being fired), and Ukraine did not join NATO. Some things never change," Trump said.
