The volume of natural gas supplied to Europe through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) has reached 50 billion cubic meters, APA-Economics reports, citing SOCAR Türkiye, a subsidiary of SOCAR in Türkiye.
“A historic milestone in the energy bridge from Azerbaijan to Europe! The volume of natural gas transported to Europe through TANAP has reached 50 billion cubic meters,” the report states.
It should be noted that the TANAP pipeline is the central element of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC). Through this pipeline, part of Azerbaijani gas is delivered to Türkiye, and the other part to Europe (through the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP)) to the border of Türkiye and Greece.
It should be noted that the transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe through the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) has started since December 31, 2020.
