Partial solar eclipse to illuminate skies on Sept. 21

The second and finalsolar eclipse of 2025 is set to occur on September 21, the Astrophysics Department of Baku State University's Faculty of Physics has announced.

This will be a partial solar eclipse, beginning at 17:29:32 UTC and concluding at 21:53:33 UTC, with a total duration of 4 hours and 22 minutes, News.Az reports, citing local media.

The eclipse will reach its peak at 19:41:04 UTC, offering skywatchers a spectacular celestial event.

The phenomenon will be visible from the Pacific Ocean, New Zealand, and Antarctica, but it will not be observable from Azerbaijan.
