Azerbaijani journalists visited "Nurullaboy" palace complex in Khiva-PHOTO

As part of the visit of Azerbaijani media representatives to Uzbekistan, journalists visited the historical “Nurullaboy” palace complex located in the city of Khiva, APA correspondent dispatched to Khiva reports.

During the visit, journalists were provided with detailed information about the historical and architectural features of the complex.

Azerbaijani journalists were also informed about the restoration process of the palace, the tourism potential and the modern tourism strategy of the region.

It was noted that the “Nurullaboy” complex was built at the beginning of the 20th century by the Khan of Khiva, Mahammad Rahimkhan II, and houses the official reception house of the khan family, five inner courtyards, craft workshops and the “Khudoybergan Devonov” gallery.

Media representatives also got acquainted with the heritage of Khudoybergan Devonov, considered the first photographer of Uzbekistan, and an exhibition consisting of rare historical photos taken by him.

It should be noted that the visit is being carried out within the framework of the “Roadmap for the Development of Cooperation in the Media Field between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan”. The purpose of the visit is to explore the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Khiva region on site, as well as to better introduce these unique monuments to the Azerbaijani public.
