Russia has issued a warning to Ukraine, saying it could carry out retaliatory strikes in central Kyiv if any attempts are made to disrupt upcoming Victory Day events.
The statement was released by the Russian Ministry of Defence, which cautioned that any actions targeting the commemorations would prompt a response.
At the same time, authorities advised civilians residing in Kyiv, as well as staff of foreign diplomatic missions, to consider leaving the city.
The warning comes amid heightened tensions surrounding Victory Day, a major national occasion in Russia, and underscores the fragile security situation as the conflict between the two countries continues.
