The Iranian side has promised to conduct a serious investigation into the drones launched toward Azerbaijan, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists, APA reports.
“As soon as this incident occurred, Azerbaijan immediately reacted to it. After that, we had numerous contacts with the Iranian side. The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran called the President of Azerbaijan. I also held a phone conversation with the Iranian foreign minister regarding this issue. The Iranian side’s position is that these drones were not launched by Iran, but were a provocation carried out by third countries. They have promised the Azerbaijani side that the matter will be seriously investigated. At the current stage, this is the situation regarding the issue,” the foreign minister noted.
