Today, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Türkiye in Azerbaijan on the occasion of "World Breakfast Day," APA reports.
The Ambassador of Türkiye to Azerbaijan Birol Akgün invited media representatives to breakfast.
At the meeting, guests were served various dishes reflecting Türkiye’s rich culinary heritage.
In his speech, Ambassador Birol Akgün stated that the "World Breakfast Day," accepted by UNESCO, is celebrated every year on the first Sunday of June. The purpose of this day is to emphasize the role of breakfast in intercultural relations and to introduce the richness of Türkiye’s cuisine to the world.
The diplomat noted that the breakfast culture, which greatly contributes to the promotion of Türkiye, is currently also celebrated in Turkish representations operating in various countries around the world. This initiative also serves to promote shared values such as hospitality and sharing.
The Ambassador of Türkiye also provided information about upcoming events to be held between Türkiye and Azerbaijan: "Relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are developing at an increasing pace; in the near future, there will be six known events. The opening of the Azerbaijan neighborhood in Kahramanmaraş will take place with the participation of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye."
