Black box found from plane that crashed in Ankara, 22 investigators depart from Libya

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that a 22-member delegation from Libya has left for Ankara to investigate the Falcon 50 aircraft that crashed in Ankara, carrying Libyan Chief of Staff General Mohammed al-Haddad, APA's Türkiye bureau reports.

The minister noted that the black box was found at night.

"The plane's voice recorder was found at the crash site at 02:45, and the black box at 03:20. The 22-member Libyan delegation has left for Ankara," Ali Yerlikaya said.

Note that all those on board died as a result of the crash of the aircraft returning from Ankara from an official visit to Türkiye. Libyan Chief of Staff General Mohammed Haddad and his entourage lost their lives in the tragic accident. Among the dead were Lieutenant General Fituri Garibil, Chief of Staff of the Land Forces, Major General Mahmoud Katiwi, Advisor to the Chief of the Libyan General Staff, Mohammed Asawi Diab, as well as Mohammed Omar Ahmed Mahjoub, a photographer for the General Staff Media Office.
