The Israeli army has taken control of eight settlements in southern Lebanon.
According to the newspaper Asharq al-Awsat, Israeli units have advanced approximately 5 km into Lebanese territory.
It is reported that troops are moving in the central direction from the town of Et-Teyba towards the Deir Siryan area, aiming to reach the Litani River.
