“This is my first visit to Karabakh,” the UN Resident Coordinator ad interim in Azerbaijan, Igor Garafulic, told APA.
He expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for the invitation.
“We are shown your past, the difficulties you have experienced, and your history. This is very useful for our work, in terms of better understanding the country we live in and its history. Therefore, I evaluate this visit very positively. I think all my colleagues are also grateful for this,” Garafulic emphasized.
Note that as part of the visit that began today, representatives of the diplomatic corps visited the Khojaly Genocide Memorial and Victory Park in Khankendi.
