The candidates for the post of chairman of the Azerbaijan Filmmakers Union have become known.
According to information obtained by APA, there are two candidates for the chairmanship — People’s Artist Shafiga Mammadova and director Ali Isa Jabbarov.
In response to APA’s inquiry regarding the matter, the Azerbaijan Filmmakers Union stated that the names of the candidates for the chairmanship will be announced to the media closer to the congress.
Note that the congress of the Azerbaijan Filmmakers Union will be held on May 26.
Recall that Chairman of the Azerbaijan Filmmakers Union Rasim Balayev passed away on March 29. Currently, Shafiga Mammadova is acting as chairman of the union, while Ali Isa Jabbarov serves as the organization’s secretary.
