4 people died from poisoning in Azerbaijan in May

103 people have been poisoned in May in Azerbaijan, the Clinical Medical Center said in a statement, APA reports.

It was noted that in May, 103 people were admitted to the Toxicology Department of the Clinical Medical Center due to poisoning.

Among the patients admitted to the department, 38 were poisoned by medication, 30 by acetic acid (vinegar acid), 2 by alcoholic beverages, and 8 by snake bites.

Additionally, 1 person was poisoned by carbon monoxide, 14 by allergic reactions, 4 by botulism, 2 by organophosphorus compounds, and 4 by wild plants.

Despite the efforts of the doctors, 4 people (3 men and 1 woman) died from poisoning. The deaths were recorded from poisoning by acetic acid and medication.
