During January-May 2025, Azerbaijan's trade turnover with the Islamic Republic of Iran amounted to 257 million 964 thousand US dollars, APA-Economics reports citing the State Customs Committee.
The volume of this indicator increased by 8.2% or 19.6 million US dollars compared to the corresponding period of last year.
It should be noted that during the five months of the current year, products worth 6 million 86 thousand US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan to Iran and 251 million 878 thousand US dollars from Iran to Azerbaijan. Thus, compared to the year-on-year comparison, Azerbaijan's exports to Iran decreased by 3.7%, while Iran's exports to Azerbaijan increased by 8.5%.
During the reporting period, Iran accounted for 0.06% of Azerbaijan's total exports and 2.53% of imports.
It should be added that mainly agricultural, food and food products, detergents, construction materials, and other products were imported from Iran.
