Volume of revenues Azerbaijan receives from gas pipelines disclosed

In January–June of this year, Azerbaijan’s revenues from freight transportation via main gas pipelines amounted to 1,359,156.6 thousand manats, which is almost equal to the figure for the same period last year, State Statistical Committee told APA.

Corresponding figure for January–June 2024 stood at 1,359,813 thousand manats.

It should be noted that during January–June of this year, 20,260.5 million cubic meters of gas were transported through Azerbaijan’s main gas pipelines, reflecting a 1.4% decrease compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the first half of the year, 55.5% of total gas transportation was carried out via the Baku–Tbilisi–Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline, which exports gas produced at the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field. During the reporting period, 11,235.7 million cubic meters of gas were delivered through this pipeline (a 1.6% decrease).

For reference, in 2024 Azerbaijan’s revenues from freight transportation via main gas pipelines amounted to 2,707,608.8 thousand manats, representing a 7.6% annual increase.

Last year, 40,348.3 million cubic meters of gas were transported through Azerbaijan’s main gas pipelines, marking a 2.7% increase compared to the previous year. Of this, 56.6% was carried through the Baku–Tbilisi–Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline, through which 22,851.9 million cubic meters of gas were delivered during the reporting period (a 4.3% increase).
