President Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, APA reports.
The letter states:
"Dear Sadir Nurgojoevich,
On behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I am pleased to extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you and, in your person, all your people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Kyrgyz Republic - Independence Day.
Under your leadership, large-scale constructive work and reforms have been implemented in fraternal Kyrgyzstan, achieving significant successes in the field of socio-economic progress.
The current dynamics of development of relations between our countries, which are connected by common moral values and historical and cultural roots, are gratifying.
The elevation of Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan relations to the level of strategic partnership is a clear manifestation of the unwavering will of our peoples and our determination to further deepen our cooperation.
I am confident that we will continue our joint efforts to preserve and strengthen the good traditions of our friendly and fraternal relations and to further expand our bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
