President Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to King Sultan Ibrahim of Malaysia, APA reports.
The letter states:
"On behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my most sincere congratulations and wishes to you and, in your person, to all your people on the occasion of Malaysia's national holiday - Independence Day.
The development and expansion of Azerbaijan-Malaysia interstate relations, built on good traditions and cooperation based on mutual trust and support, is gratifying.
I am confident that, in accordance with the will of our peoples, friendly relations between our countries, and our bilateral and multilateral cooperation will continue to develop and strengthen on an upward trajectory through our joint efforts.
"On such a significant day, I wish you good health, happiness, success in your work, and constant prosperity and well-being for the friendly people of Malaysia."
