February 2026 consists of 28 calendar days, and the year has 365 calendar days.

In 2026, in a five-day workweek, there will be 241 working days (including 5 days before holidays and 1 day before the Day of National Mourning), 107 non-working rest days (including 5 days overlapping with non-working holidays, 3 days overlapping with other non-working days of Eid al-Adha and Ramadan holidays), 19 non-working holidays (including 3 overlapping days), and 1 Day of National Mourning.

In Azerbaijan, the duration of the normal daily working hours cannot exceed 8 hours, and, as a rule, a five-day workweek with two rest days is established.

The weekly normal working hours corresponding to the normal daily working hours cannot exceed 40 hours.

The 2026 working hours standard is determined based on an 8-hour workday for a 40-hour five-day workweek, and on days preceding holidays, voting days, as well as the Day of National Mourning, the duration of the weekly working days is reduced by one hour.

According to the legislation, for 2026, the annual working hours standard for a 40-hour workweek is 1,922 hours. At workplaces with a six-day workweek, employees working under a 40-hour workweek should apply the 1,922-hour annual working hours standard calculated for a five-day workweek in 2026.

The approved working hours standards and production calendars for each year are published on the official website of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population in the “Production Calendars” subsection (https://sosial.gov.az/az/faydali/istehsalat-teqvimi).
