President Ilham Aliyev has approved the State Program for 2026–2035 on Improving Water Supply, Stormwater, and Wastewater Systems in the City of Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, APA reports.
Under the order, the Cabinet of Ministers is tasked with coordinating the implementation of the measures envisaged in the State Program, overseeing their execution, and reporting once a year to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the progress of implementation, as well as resolving other issues arising from the order.
Monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the measures set out in the State Program will be carried out by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication at the request of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy have been instructed, in accordance with the financing mechanisms envisaged in the State Program, to ensure the allocation of the necessary financial resources during the annual preparation of the state budget and state investment programs, as well as to take appropriate measures to attract funding from other sources.
