“Peace is not a normal situation for us," Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan said during his speech at the panel on “Defining the Economic Identity of Eurasia,” held within the framework of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, APA reports.
“As President Ilham Aliyev noted, we have demonstrated political will and political courage to act for the sake of peace. We are living in a situation we have not seen for more than 30 years. That is why achieving such a situation two years ago or even one year ago would have been unbelievable. But now, cargo from Azerbaijan is being sent to Armenia via Georgia. I am confident that one day we will be able to receive this cargo directly through our own territories. Direct transport links between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be possible, and we will be able to overcome the problems that arose in the 1990s.
What is very important is that both of us are looking forward. If we try to look back and search for what happened and why it happened, it will deprive us of opportunities. We appreciate this. We see this. President Aliyev noted that we need to learn to live in peace. I can assure you that this is not a normal situation for us either,” the President of Armenia added.
