The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) under the Department of Energy has announced its forecast for global daily production of oil and other liquid hydrocarbons for 2026-2027, APA-Economics, citing the EIA’s monthly report.
Global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons in 2027 will average 109.5 million barrels (previous forecast – 109.47 million barrels), which is 7.9 million barrels more than the forecast figure for 2026.
At the same time, the EIA has updated its forecast for global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons for 2026. According to the forecast, global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons this year will average 101.6 million barrels, which is 2.67 million barrels less than the previous forecast.
It is noted that global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons averaged 106.35 million barrels in 2025, which is an increase of 3.18 million barrels compared to the 2024 figure (103.17 million barrels).
Recall that global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons averaged 102.02 million barrels in 2023.
