Romanian President Nicușor Dan has convened an emergency meeting of the country’s Supreme Council of National Defense following the drone-related incident in Galați, Mediafax reports.
Nicușor Dan described the drone incident as the most serious event on Romanian territory since the beginning of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
“I state unequivocally that the Russian Federation bears full responsibility for this incident,” the Romanian President stressed.
He noted that the incident was a direct consequence of Russia’s war against Ukraine and Moscow’s irresponsible use of weapons near NATO borders.
