On August 20, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov had telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain José Manuel Albarez Bueno, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain conveyed his congratulations on the achievements in the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process within the framework of the Summit held during the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States.
During the telephone conversation, the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan-Spain and Azerbaijan-European Union relations were discussed. The importance of cooperation in the economic and trade, energy, tourism, humanitarian and education sectors was emphasized. The visit of the Spanish Prime Minister to Azerbaijan within the framework of COP29 was recalled with satisfaction.
It was noted that preparations were being made for the next political consultations to be held in Baku in the near future, as a continuation of the political consultations organized between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in 2024.
The telephone conversation also exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest.
